Iraq and National Security

Fred Johnson’s military experience and life-long study of American foreign policy has equipped him with an understanding of the military and the sober-minded clarity that must be exercised when using its power. We must focus our efforts on the real threats to America around the world. It is time for the Iraqi government to assume control of their own security, while we responsibly withdraw our troops to better protect us at home and abroad.

Fred supports:

• Responsibly redeploying our forces from Iraq back home and to places in the world, such as Afghanistan, where they can engage and defeat the real threats to our security.
• Make extensive use of all domestic and international diplomatic, law enforcements and intelligence agencies to intercept and eliminate threats to national security.
• Support initiatives for public diplomacy as a means of facilitating the restoration of America’s global moral authority.
